Issue Position

As our representative, Andy will continue to be our strongest advocate for completing badly-needed transportation projects in Butts, Newton and Henry Counties. Relieving traffic congestion in downtown Jackson is of critical concern to downtown businesses. Signalizing intersections in Newton County is necessary to protect drivers. Widening State Route 81 in Henry County to improve traffic flow and safety is a significant concern to Henry County businesses and residents.

From a regional perspective, Andy is spearheading an effort to locate and construct an industrial interchange on I-75 in Henry County to alleviate commuter and truck traffic at the State Route 155 and I-75 interchange. He will press the Georgia Department of Transportation for serious management and cost-saving reforms. Andy has been an appointee to Congressman Lynn Westmoreland's Transportation Advisory Board and gained the experience to hit the ground running on these issues.
